Advanced Orthopedic Massage uses unique rehabilitation techniques. This is not your typical treatment massage. Protocols can be incorporated into a traditional massage or preformed independently on clothed patients in any setting.
The commonly used term "medical massage" refers to therapy prescribed by a physician and the treatment preformed under that physicians directives. Orthopedic Massage is the combination of assessment, testing, and treatment protocols that promote the alignment of soft tissues relating to pain and dysfunction that are used in "medical massage". Receive your Advanced Orthopedic Massage Certification upon completion of Section I- Upper Extremity/Spine, Section II- Lower Extremity, and successfully passing a written exam.
Section I- Upper Extremity/Spine 24 CE hours $550
Provides a comprehensive approach to treatment of common soft tissue pain and injuries of the upper extremities and spine, detailed assessments and tests for each body region, easy to follow step by step protocols to manage carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, rotator cuff injuries, nerve impingement syndrome, cervical, and thoracic complaints.
Section II- Lower Extremity/ Lumbar spine & Exam 18 CE hours $425
Provides a comprehensive approach to treatment of common soft tissue pain and injuries of the lower extremities, detailed assessments and tests for body region, easy to follow step by step protocols to manage lumbar complaints, piriformis syndrome, sciatica, psoas dysfunction, tendonitis of the hamstring/quadriceps, knee dysfunctions, tarsal tunnel syndrome, plantar fasciitis.
Lymphatic Drainage Certification 18 CE hours $395
An affordable weekend certification program that will give you the knowledge and ability to work in this field. Lymphatic drainage is in high demand for preventative health care and also presents a great opportunity for working with doctors in a variety of pre and post surgical procedures. These techniques may be offered independently or incorporate it into your current routine. Day one is an overview of the lymphatic system and covers lymphatic drainage procedures for the face and neck. Day two covers lymphatic drainage techniques for the torso and limbs and a review of full body technique.

Massage cupping is the combination of massage movements and negative pressure with the use of a suction device on the skin. The vacuum created by the cups increases blood and lymphatic circulation systemically and to local areas, relaxes muscle tissue, draws stagnation, pathogenic factors and toxins out of the body and releases a myriad of pain causing factors.

As massage therapists we are trained to work with the soft tissues of the body; muscle, tendon, ligaments, and nerves. In Nerve Mobilization you will learn to preform neural tension tests to physically assess nerves and identify areas of irritation and the surrounding soft tissues involved. Although massage therapists do not diagnose we train you to determine the length, elasticity and irritability of nerves to allow for proper treatment and home care choices. Learn to address Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Piriformis Syndrome, Sciatica, Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome, and Ulnar Nerve Compression Syndromes.
